Week 11: 11/5 - 11/9 - Tutoring this Wednesday 11/7 - Study guide for Test - Report Cards distributed Thursday 11/8 - IMAX Field Trip money ($13) due Thursday 11/8 - Students will be introduced to extreme weather. - Test Friday 11/9 on Water cycle, Clouds, Pressure, Fronts, and Winds.
Week 10: 10/29 - 11/2 - No tutoring this Wednesday 10/31 - Students will work with predicting weather across the US - Students will be introduced to convection and sea breezes this week.
Week 9: 10/22 - 10/26 - Tutoring is this Wednesday 10/24 - Students will be introduced to air pressure and fronts this week. - Students will be completing Kessler Stations as a minor assignment.
Week 8: 10/15 - 10/19 - Tutoring is this Wednesday 10/17 -Students will be introduced to types of clouds this week - Students will complete an in-class mini-project of the types of clouds - Students will have an open-note quiz on the water cycle and clouds this Friday
Week 7: 10/8-10/12 -Tutoring is this Wednesday 10/10 - The 7th grade Counselor will be in my class on Monday to talk with students about identity and stereotypes - Students will complete an in-class scavenger hunt on the water cycle
Week 6: 10/1 - 10/5 - Tutoring is this Wednesday (10/3), we will review the study guide for the test. - Students will complete a WebQuest Monday through Wednesday as review for the test. - Layers of the Atmosphere test will be this Friday 10/5.
Week 5: 9/24-9/28 -Students will complete an in-class project Monday through Friday on global warming. This will be a major grade.
Week 4: 9/17-9/21 - Hurricane Florence knocked us off track but we're just going to "Tootsie Roll with it"! -Students will complete an in-class foldable on the Layers of the Atmosphere this Thursday. -Students will have an open note quiz on the Layers of the Atmosphere this Friday.
Week 3: 9/10-9/14 - Students will receive first homework assignment; Due Wednesday, September 12th - Students will start notes on the layers of the atmosphere - Students will complete a foldable on the layers of the atmosphere
Week 2: 9/4-9/7 - Students will be introduced to the Scientific Method - Students will take a 7th Grade Science Pre Assessment for a formative grade - Bellwork #1 is due at the end of the week - Students will have a brief introduction to the atmosphere on Friday
Week 1: 8/27-8/31 - Science Syllabus - Please bring back signed by parent and student by 8/31 - Student Safety Contract - Please bring back signed by parent and student by 8/31 (I need this in order for you to participate in class labs) - Lab Safety Quiz will be this Friday - Animal Notification Form - Please bring back signed ASAP
